Lucas awoke in the morning with a terrible hangover, so massively strong it felt as if he’d been hit over the head with a hammer. There was throbbing pain on both sides of his head, and his limbs felt numb from all the alcohol he’d consumed. Groaning in pain he shifted his body, struggling to his feet which unsteadily held him. A few moments passed as he just simply stood there, waiting for the room to stop its maddening spinning. He then slowly took a step forward, then another, before his path was effectively blocked.
Furrowing his brows he glanced downward, and that’s when he noticed the girl laying right in front of him. Completely passed out she didn’t even budge, only snored loudly as she slept off the aftereffects of drinking. Several other people were sprawled across the carpet as well, some half-dressed or downright nude, while others were clad in the outfits they’d partied in the night before. He did his best to walk carefully so as not to step on anyone, but his gait was clumsy and lurching, more akin to a toddler’s than a full-grown male.
Appearing as if a bomb had exploded, the entire living room was totally trashed. Cushions from the sofa were strewn everywhere, and bottles of liquor decorated the floor. A pair of thongs were strewn across the shade of a lamp, while a purple bra hung from the blade of a ceiling fan. Chips and pretzels crunched beneath his shoes as he walked, heading for the hallway which led to the bathroom. As he entered he quickly unzipped his pants, then emptied his bladder which had been screaming for release. He shook off then flushed the toilet, before zipping back up so he could wash his hands. He was just turning on the faucet when he caught movement from the shower, and staring in shock he noticed a girl lounging in the tub. Seeming to be just around his age she smiled at Lucas, then lowered her gaze to his crotch, as if to make clear what she was craving.
“Nice cock,” she said, her voice soft and eyes enticing. “I’d totally blow you, if you wanted.”
“Uh, thanks but I can’t.” Lucas hurriedly washed his hands, wanting to leave before she said anything else.
“Well if you change your mind, you know where to find me,” she replied back, flirtatiously winking as he left the bathroom.
Heading back into the front of the house, Lucas stepped over a bottle of vodka, just narrowly missing a puddle of vomit that was beginning to congeal. Once in the kitchen he saw that the counter was littered with various bottles of rum, vodka, and empty beer cans. There was also a plastic pitcher of Indian Kool-Aid, the ingredients which Lucas had helped to mix. Consisting of rubbing alcohol and Kool-Aid powder, it was a cheap way to get drunk on the rez. And from what little Lucas could remember of the previous night, he’d had a generous dose of the purple concoction, which he now regretted on the deepest level.
Groaning lightly from the pounding ache at his temples, Lucas opened the kitchen cabinet, rifling around until he found what he needed. After retrieving a clean glass from the dish rack, he poured in the vinegar and honey, then added a generous amount of water to finish the mixture. Fizzing and foaming up, it gave off a smell that repelled Lucas. But he had to down it all, so going right for it he put the glass to his lips. It went down harsh, burning his throat along the way but he finished it all, then let out a burp. He was just placing the glass in the sink when Joey entered, staggering forward with a long, wide yawn.
“Morning,” Lucas said as he turned around and saw Joey enter.
“Sup, man.” Joey opened the fridge, took out a soda, then popped up the tab and took a sip.
“Crazy time last night, huh…” Rather than state, Lucas seemed to ask.
“It was good times, that’s for sure,” Joey replied. “We were short on beers though, so that sucked.”
Nodding lightly, Lucas pretended to agree. But really his mind was on something else entirely, and so he decided to inquire.
“Hey, Rob…?”
“Yep?” He let out a loud burp, then put the half empty can back in the fridge.
“I didn’t do anything stupid last night, did I?”
“What, you mean like bang a chick without a rubber?”
“Well, yeah…” Slipping his hands into the pockets of his jeans, Lucas anxiously awaited the answer. “Or did I get with anyone at all? Because I can’t remem-“
“Chill, man. You sat on that couch most of the night. Didn’t do shit as far I could tell.”
“Really?” A sudden lightness came into his chest, immense relief that he hadn’t cheated on Claudia.
“As far as I know man, you didn’t,” Joey confirmed. “Had a handful of females that were all over you most of the night, but from what I saw you never banged any of ’em.”
“Good.” Pleased at Joey’s reply, he nodded his head. “That’s real good, I’m glad to hear it.”
Snorting loudly in response, Joey shook his head, then made a gesture with his hand which was made to imitate the cracking of a whip.
“Shit man, Claudia got you on a damn leash. Since when escort you so pussy whipped?
“I am not whipped,” Lucas asserted. “I’d just rather not be a dick and cheat on my girlfriend.”
“I can appreciate that and all, but dude you still got options and a lot of them.”
“I don’t need options,” Lucas said. “I got Claudia, and she makes me happy.
“Well I know she’s real cute and everything, so I totally see why you’d be into her and stuff. But there’s a lotta chicks on this rez that would happily fuck you. Why give them all up, just to date one broad?”
“Because she’s special to me,” he said. “I feel good and stable with her, and she makes me feel like I’m worth something.”
“Well that’s cool and all man, but no way I’m letting any female tie me down. Too much good pussy out there, know what I mean?”
As Joey smiled Lucas shifted his gaze, staring out of the kitchen window at the huge Montana sky. Wide rolling plains stretched out beneath it, interspersed with a mixture of trailers and plain looking, modest homes. Thinking back to two weeks ago, he remembered the fight he’d had with his father, and how he had laid him out flat on his back. Still amazed that he’d actually delivered such a stunning blow, Lucas gazed down at his fist in a kind of wonderment. Although he knew he was strong, Lucas hadn’t ever thought he’d be able to take his own father down. But he guessed it wasn’t such a huge surprise, as Eagle had taught him everything he knew about boxing techniques.
Since finding out the secret of his biological mother, Lucas had been internally torn up, and a little confused as to his true identity. He felt the same, but knowing who she was and what she’d done for a living did shame him. Yet did he not also feel a curiosity to meet her, as well? He didn’t even know whether she was still living or dead, but he was going to find out, one way or another. Along with thoughts of his real mother, Lucas had been obsessing over the fact that his father had cheated on Rita, and it made him sick to his stomach that Eagle had once been leading a double life. So deep in thought, Lucas hadn’t even noticed Joey waving a hand in front of his face, as if attempting to bring him out of a trance.
“Still there bro, or you just totally zonked out?”
Now back in the present moment Lucas blinked, then shifted his feet as he spoke to Joey. “Sorry, just thinking of family stuff. Gotta figure out what I’m gonna do, know what I mean?”
“Yeah man, I totally understand. Fucked up they kept it all secret from you. It’s like you gotta rearrange some shit now, understand? Your life was a lie, bro. That’s so messed up.”
“Yeah it’s all real confusing right now, but I gotta figure out where I’m gonna stay, like long term.”
“Here, bro. You got a home with us.”
“Well thanks, but I’m sure your uncle would probably mind…”
“Naw, he’s real cool. I texted him last night and told him what was up. Said it was fine with him, if you wanted to crash with us.”
“Well that’s real nice of him,” Lucas said. “But to be honest, I kinda need a place that’s a bit more mellow, know what I mean? Not to say anything bad about your house or anything, but this partying lifestyle is real bad for me, Joey.”
Gazing at Lucas as if he had grown a third head, Joey took a moment to digest what his friend had just said. He crossed his arms in front of his chest, then slightly cocked his head, as if a little confused. Several more moments passed by before he finally spoke, eyes studying Lucas with an almost suspicion.
“Dang man, you like totally changing. First you got at all serious with Claudia, and now you suddenly not down to party?”
“I got here two weeks ago and we’ve done nothing but, Joey. It’s gotten a little old for me now, especially considering that I’m in college and trying for a pre-law scholarship.”
“Well I can appreciate your school grind and all, but feels to me that since you got into those classes, you been fading me and Rob out of your life.”
“Well Rob I see on campus all the time. We talk, hang out, even study together. I just don’t party with you guys like I used to, but it’s nothing personal.”
“So pre-law, huh?” Joey studied him. “Haven’t seen too many that look like us. And those who do, they straight up apples.”
“I’m becoming a lawyer to help our people,” Lucas said. “We need more Natives on that level to protect our land, our people, and the traditions our ancestors passed down. I could do something good, something important and really make a difference.”
Nodding lightly, Joey seemed to take this in. But the look on his face was sullen, pointing to slight jealousy at Lucas’s solid plans.
“It’s good you wanna work for our people. Real admirable, I gotta admit,” Joey said. “I just hope you don’t end up leaving the rez forever, because most of the time they never come back.”
“This is my home,” Lucas replied. “There’s a lotta problems here on the rez and serious issues, but my heart stays on escort bayan this land, no doubt about it.”
“Well you gotta do you my dude, am I right?”
They fist bumped in agreement, then Lucas nodded and spoke some words.
“Most definitely.”
“So where you planning on going then?” Joey asked. “Because last I heard, Rob has like six people living up in his house. Him and his mom, sister, grandparents, plus a couple of cousins, or something like that.”
“I don’t know, but i’ll figure it out.”
Now heading for Joey’s room, Lucas stepped over the various people who were still passed out. He then walked down the hallway until he reached his friend’s bedroom, where he gathered the few items he’d brought, stuffing them into a duffel bag and then slinging it over his shoulder. Doing his best not to gawk at the two nude women who were in Rob’s bed, Lucas turned and exited the room. Once at the door he saw Rob was already waiting, out smoking a cigarette on the porch. Joining his friend, Lucas began to say his goodbyes.
“So I’m taking off now, but thanks a lot for having me here.”
“Not a problem bro, anytime at all.”
“Seriously man, I had nowhere else to go. So you really did me a favor.”
“You’re welcome back anytime. Just know, day or night, you got a place to crash.”
“Thanks, man.”
They immediately went into a man embrace, which consisted of a combination fist bump and one-armed hug. Lucas then took off towards his truck, and on reaching it, tossed the duffel bag into the cargo bed. The engine skipped and sputtered as he started it up, as if protesting to the ice cold morning. Then as it fully came to life Lucas pressed his foot on the gas, revving up a few times to warm things up. He then put the truck into drive, and after giving a honk he waved at Joey, then headed out, traveling down the street.
* * * *
Claudia was just getting into the shower when a knock came at the door, loud and firm, which made her feel it was definitely masculine. Annoyed at the interruption, she deeply sighed, then slid back into her robe and exited the bathroom. Once at the door she unlocked it, then slowly opened it to reveal Lucas. Shocked to see him she stared wide-eyed, then opened it wider so that he could come in. Entering with a smile he eagerly entered, grateful for the warmth in Claudia’s home.
“Hey.” Moving in closer, Lucas leaned down to give her a hug.
“Hey, yourself.” Melting into his arms she accepted it.
The hug lasted a good six seconds until he released her, and on pulling back Lucas saw that Claudia’s face was sullen. Shifting his stance, he lightly cleared his throat.
“I’m real sorry for not being around much these past two weeks. Besides seeing each other at school, I’ve hardly been in contact. I ignored a lot of your texts, and I apologize for that, Claude.”
Still pouting she said nothing at all, only shifted her feet and stared up at him.
“I’ve missed you a whole lot,” he said. “And it’s not that I haven’t been thinking of you at all because I have, but this whole thing with finding out about my real mom, plus the fight I had with my dad….well it’s been overwhelming, to be honest. So it’s all I could really focus on.”
“I get it,” Claudia replied. “You needed some time on your own, so I can’t exactly be angry with you. But I just wish you could have texted a little bit more. I sometimes sat there thinking you were going to break up with me or something. I mean it just seemed like you didn’t want or need me anymore.”
“Nothing could be further from the truth,” Lucas said. “I still want you very much, and I definitely need you in my life. It was just these two weeks I needed for myself, is all. But now that I’ve had a bit of time to sort things out, I feel more like myself, and like I can be fun to hang around once again.”
“But it’s not just about fun,” Claudia said. “I want you around regardless. I don’t need you for entertainment or sex, although I do love being intimate with you. It’s who you are as a person, and how you make me feel that’s most important. Everything else is just gravy, like an added bonus of an already great relationship.”
“I agree.” Lucas nodded, then tucked his hands into his pockets. “It’s just I know I wouldn’t have been very pleasant during those two weeks. And to be honest, I was sorta worried I’d snap at you, or say something real stupid, and then you’d probably hate me and we could have broken up. I was in a real bad place after leaving my parents house, and these past two weeks have been pretty awful.”
“Well again, I do understand. I just missed you real bad, and it had me thinking if you’d want to come back to me again.”
“I’m sorry, Claude. I really am.” Drawing her up against him, Lucas wrapped his arms around her hips, effectively holding her against his body. It felt great having him embrace and love her intimately once again, but the stink of alcohol burnt Claudia’s nostrils.
“You smell like liquor.” She bayan escort pulled back slightly, creating distance to lessen the odor. “So I guess it was party time at Joey’s again, huh?”
“I did party last night,” he admitted. “But nothing went down to disrespect our relationship.”
The look she gave him was very focused, but Lucas gazed back, not flinching even a bit. There was nothing but truth in his eyes and she could see it, so after a few moments she softened her gaze, then loosened her stance so it was more relaxed.
“I love you too much to cheat on you, Claudia. A few moments of pleasure isn’t worth screwing us up.”
Her eyes settled on Lucas’s face with a tender softness, and as he returned her gaze with one of utter adoration, they came together in another hug. Wanting so badly to kiss her, he leaned down to do just that, but then suddenly realized that his breath had to stink. Pulling back he created distance, just enough to lessen the scent.
“I know I smell bad, so we should probably wait.”
“You just need a bit of freshening up,” Claudia said. “You should have taken a shower, before leaving Rob’s.”
“I would have, but his house was full of people. Everywhere I looked, there were people puking or totally passed out.”
“Sounds lovely.” She lightly smirked.
“Yeah, well anyways I’m not staying there anymore. The partying lifestyle isn’t good for me, and these two weeks I crashed with him, I’ve fallen back hard on my studying sessions.”
“That’s definitely not good,” Claudia replied. “You’re doing so good with school now, Lucas. The last thing you want, is for the progress you’ve made to go to waste.”
“I know.” He firmly nodded. “That’s why I had to leave.”
“So where will you stay?” Claudia asked. “Or are you thinking of returning home?”
“No way, not after the fight I had with my dad, I can’t ever go back.”
“Sit down and have a talk with him,” Claudia suggested. “You’re his only son Lucas, and he loves you a lot.
“I honestly don’t think he wants to talk, Claude. Let alone see my face,” Lucas replied. “I speak to my mom everyday, and she says he’s pretty set on not allowing me to come back home. According to her, he’s even planning on converting my living space out back, into a smokehouse.”
Pushing out a gentle sigh, Claudia shook her head, then offered some words of encouragement. “Just give it time babe, and he will want you back. I’m sure of it.”
“No thanks, I’m good. He’s the one who fucked up and lied, not me. Not to mention he cheated on my mom, so I honestly can’t even look at him the same way anymore.”
Completely understanding how he felt, Claudia nodded. “Well I sure wish I could offer you to crash here for a bit, but you know how Big John is. So I can definitely tell ya, that he won’t okay it.”
“Course not.” Slipping his hands into his pockets, Lucas shrugged. “But that’s alright, because I basically just came to see you. Wanted to let you know I was sorry, and at least give you a kiss and a hug.”
“Well we got the hug part down twice,” she said. “And I’d really love a kiss, but a freshening up is definitely in order.”
“Just provide the toothbrush and toothpaste, I’ll get right on it,” Lucas replied.
“I can do better than that. Got body wash and shampoo too, only requirement is that we shower together.”
Grinning widely, Lucas said, “Environmentally sensitive, I like that.”
Taking his hand with a smile, Claudia led him to the bathroom, then shut the door behind them and engaged the lock. Clearly eager to get naked and into a hot shower, Lucas started unbuckling his belt. Yet on suddenly remembering Big John was man of the house, he eyed the door lock with uncertainty.
“Uh, what about your parents?” He nervously asked.
“They’re gone for the day. Won’t be back until this evening.”
“You sure?”
“Absolutely.”
“What about baby Chloe?”
“She’s at June’s, so we’re totally alone.”
For a few quick seconds he seemed to think this over, yet on noticing that Claudia was dropping her robe, he quickly took off his winter jacket. Next were his pants and then flannel shirt, which he hastily unbuttoned. After tossing it aside he stripped off his boxers, which were thrown on the pile of discarded clothing. Now totally nude he pulled Claudia against him, pawing her nude form while passionately kissing the curve of her neck.
Moaning in response she held onto his shoulders, loving the strong broadness of him. So utterly turned on by his six-two foot frame, Claudia parted her lips, letting out a sigh that was huskily horny. Beautifully muscled yet sleekly so, Lucas was strong and manly, a direct contrast to her soft and feminine body. Grasping his shoulders so that her nails dug in, she let out a moan as he began to suckle the sensitive pulse point of her neck. If ever there was a hot spot of hers that was it, and as the softness of his tongue slid against it, her whole body tingled.
Wanting more in the most desperate way, Claudia grabbed hold of Lucas’s cock. Already rock hard it throbbed hotly in her palm, and leading him by it, she moved them closer towards the shower. Stepping in first, Claudia turned on the water, letting it heat up before pulling the lever.
