Akira woke up early on Sunday morning knowing that she still had a lot to do to get food and drinks ready for her husband’s birthday party. Emiko, woken by the sound of the burr grinder running long enough for a large pot of coffee, wandered sleepily into the kitchen.
Akira had been mad yesterday when Emiko had shown up unannounced. Still, by the end of dinner, she had realized it was probably the best thing that could have happened. She and Emiko had reconnected and felt like sisters again for the first time in several years. She was so glad Selina had helped her create Snow. Puppy-girl play was proving to be a life-changing experience for them both.
“Where’s hubby?” Emiko asked.
She laughed, “Still sleeping off a long and energetic night,” and grinned, “I think I wore him out.”
After they had cleared breakfast away and they were all dressed, Emiko asked, “OK, put me to work. What can I do first to help get things ready?”
Akira just looked at her sister and thought, ‘Wow, things really did change between us yesterday.’
***
Most of their guest had arrived and been greeted, and the party was in full swing. By then, around 30 people were milling around drinking. Akira took the time to look around. She glanced over to see her Giles deep in conversation with Sophie and Mike; Giles’s sister had been sad when they’d told them they were going to try living in Manhattan. She was glad they were getting some time together before the move, so she left them to their conversation.
The chicken was still grilling when Brian and Selina wandered over to catch Akira.
“I’ve got news for you,” her Boss said.
“I got a preliminary vote from the senior partners to approve your promotion to junior partner pending your move to Manhattan. They will take a formal vote as soon as you have settled there and a few issues get resolved. They want you to be an acting junior partner from now until then to mentor you on some aspects of your new job. I don’t want to steal the limelight from Giles’ birthday, so keep it quiet till after the party.”
By then, Giles and Himiko had noticed that Akira appeared to be having a serious conversation and came to join them.
Selina piped in, “Brian asked if I would move to Manhattan to remain as your personal assistant. My husband said he knew that would make me happy. So, umm, if you still want me?”
Selina looked shyly at her Boss; she suddenly felt a little fearful Akira might say ‘No.’
“Selina, that’s wonderful! I already owe you more than words can say. Please thank your husband for being willing to move. It is such a shame he can’t be here today. “
Brian noticed Himiko standing next to Akira and looked backward and forward.
“You have a sister?”
“Hi, I’m Himiko, her annoying younger sister,” Himiko giggled as she reached out to shake hands. “You must be Brian?”
He nodded.
Himiko couldn’t help herself and gushed, “I love her so much. We’ve reconnected in the last few days in a way I had given up hope for.”
Akira blanched: Himiko frequently had trouble blurting out things better left unsaid. Akira didn’t notice that Brian caught up with her sister later in the party and had a private conversation about her comment and what it meant. The change in Akira was still a mystery that he wanted to understand.
When they had finished grilling, they let Betty out to run in the yard with the guests. She loved getting attention from so many humans. Giles didn’t even warn the guests not to let her scrounge food because it would have been useless. He saw several brats get furtively held low for Betty to grab. Interestingly to Giles, Snow was one of Betty’s favorite humans. The fact that Akira sometimes dressed as a puppy and walked on all fours just didn’t register with her. Or affect how they interacted.
Giles, Sophie, and Mike found Akira at the end of the party.
“Hey Sweetie, Sophie asked if I wanted to fit in one last weekend at their shack on Lake Lanier before moving. I told them I could use some downtime and would love to go up and spend a weekend at the lake with Betty.”
Only Akira noticed the unusual emphasis on ‘downtime’ in that sentence. Hmm, she thought, he wants to take two dogs to the lake.
***
Akira and Giles slumped on the sofa after they had finished clearing up and everyone had left.
“I gather you are expecting to take two dogs to the lake that weekend?”
Giles grinned, “Of course, dogs love it at the lake; it is so secluded. I was thinking you could take some downtime while I’m packing. You won’t need to pack for downtime. That way, I can have both dogs bahis şirketleri in the truck with me and for all the weekend until we get home. It will be a blast.”
Akira blanched. “Sweetie, I realize that is ideal for you, but I literally can’t do that. For example, what if we get pulled over by cops, break down, or have an accident? I’d be dealing with state troopers, who will almost certainly recognize my name as a high-powered attorney, while dressed up as a puppy. How long do you think it would take some enterprising cop to sell the story and photos to some news outlet?”
Giles glared at her.
“Sweetie, this is my career we are talking about, and we agreed no one else would ever know about Snow. I hate the fact we are even talking about her.”
“I suppose I did agree to that,” he sighed and put his head down on his hands.
“Tell you what, I can take all the Snow’s stuff with me. Then, when we get close to the lake, you pull over and promise not to look while I change. That way, you get to arrive at the lakehouse with two dogs.”
Giles sighed again and kissed her, “I love it. That would work.”

They got to the shack late; he had no one to help bring in everything he needed for two big dogs and the food and gear. Finally, he settled down on the middle of the 4-seat sofa, and there was just room for one dog to climb up and join him on each side. He was a dog oreo squished between them.
He sighed contentedly and petted both dogs at the same time; both dogs made very contented sounds as their human gave them the attention they craved. He marveled that this was when Snow was fully into her role — she lapped up this kind of affection as Snow, while Akira would have wanted to get up and do something after a while.
For a minute, he worried he’d made a mistake bringing Snow: it meant spending the weekend with a puppy who made him horny and no sex till they got back. ‘Nah,’ he thought, ‘this was worth it. His marriage had been improving rapidly since Snow came into their lives. He could always jerk off if the pressure got too much.’
***
On Saturday morning, Sophie woke Mike very early, “are we doing this or what?”
Last night, they had talked about how little Sophie might see of her brother after he moved to New York and whether to crash his weekend. She wasn’t entirely sure how he would react to them arriving unannounced.
“Yeah, let’s do it. It’ll be much more relaxed with just Giles and Betty there. We can hang out and drink beer. They stopped at a 24/7 supermarket to pick up everything for a cookout lunch. They had driven this route so often since buying the house that they knew every place to stop for donuts. This time they also wanted a big box of coffee to be still hot when they got there. The closest to the lake was Dutch Monkey Donuts in Cumming; it was a few miles before turning off to the left to where their shack was.
They parked a bit back from the house so the sound of their truck wouldn’t wake Giles. Sophie had to keep her hand firmly over her mouth to stop herself from giggling loudly. She couldn’t wait to see her brother’s reaction to them bursting in with coffee.
They crept in quietly, put the donuts down, and poured three mugs of coffee. They tiptoed quietly to the bedroom and counted down: three, two, one, “Surprise!”
Giles pretended to be still asleep and completely ignored them. That was typical, Sophie thought; he wasn’t a morning person. What confused her was there were two big dogs on the bed. On the far side of her brother was a large white labrador with its back to them. No, not a lab, a woman dressed up as a lab.
Giles had assured them Akira wasn’t coming to the lake, so for a few terrible seconds, she wondered if Giles was cheating. Then the puppy sat up and looked at them and frantically shook Giles.
“Go back to sleep,” was the grumpy reply.
“Akira, we didn’t know you were coming. Why are you dressed up as a dog?”
The dog shook Giles again, causing him to realize what was happening, “Oh, Shit!”.
“Oh, Hi, Soph, what are you doing here at this ungodly hour?”
“Wow, a nice way to greet your sister. I wanted to hang out with my favorite brother before the move. Why is Akira wearing a puppy suit?”
Giles groaned; this was a repeat of the conversation with Himiko, and that had been a struggle. Unfortunately, this could be even worse as he had no idea if Mike would be willing to keep a secret.
“Soph, sit down. I need to tell you something, and I need you both to just go along with it and not argue. OK?”
Sophie handed Giles his coffee, “before you begin, we also have fresh donuts from Dutch Monkey Donuts.”
“Soph, on the kitchen counter, you’ll see a small pyrex bowl. Please bring coffee for the puppy in that.”
Sophie gave him a weird look and walked out. A couple of minutes later, she returned with a bowl of coffee and put it on Akira’s bedside table. Sophie sat on the only chair in the bedroom, “OK, little brother, explain why bahis firmaları Akira isn’t talking to us.”
“Forget what you think you see; Akira is not here. This is Snow. Snow’s a puppy, and like all puppies, she can’t talk and can only do things a puppy can do.”
“Except drink coffee from a bowl,” Sophie sniggered. She’d watched in great amusement as the puppy had put her paws carefully under the sloping sides of the bowl to pick it up to drink.
“Except drink from a bowl, eat chocolate, and use the bathroom.”
“What? You don’t make her go outside to squat and pee like a real puppy?”
Sophie was laughing hard by now. Snow growled before giving them Muttley’s “Tee, Hee, Hee.”
“Hey man, I get it,” Mike interjected, “it’s all about having kinky doggy style sex with a furry. No need to be ashamed of your kink, man.”
Brian groaned, “No, no doggy style, and she’s not a furry. I only make love to Akira. Look, let’s all go into the kitchen where we can sit more comfortably.”
Mike and Sophie watched in bewildered good humor as Snow padded out to the kitchen on all fours and waited patiently by her dog bowl. Giles quickly cut a donut into bite-sized pieces and put them in her dog bowl. He then fetched her coffee bowl and placed that beside her.
“So, little brother, you’re telling me Akira won’t talk to us at all while we are here?”
“Soph, that’s not Akira, that’s Snow. Snow is a puppy, so of course, she can’t talk. So please keep the two of them separate in your mind. Yeah?”
Sophie glanced over and could see Akira/Snow was struggling hard not to laugh at Giles trying to explain it. Funnily enough, having Himiko react so well the previous weekend had calmed Akira about their closest friends meeting Snow.
Giles explained the counselor’s advice, saying Akira needed time when she literally couldn’t be in control and was forced to be passive. She had to learn to switch off so much she’d be like a puppy. That meant he had to continually push Snow beyond her comfort zone so she’d not be in control. Giles described how Snow had struggled with being leashed outside while he sat inside drinking and laughing with Himiko.
“Giles! That’s awful. You can’t do that to her.”
Snow got up from her dog bed and padded over to Sophie. Snow gave her a pathetic little growl. Sophie looked to her brother for a translation.
“Aarf means Yes, growl means No, and growl with bared teeth will probably become her safeword. So, the sad little growl she gave you meant ‘No’ to what you’d said. Even though she hates it, she knows she’ll only learn to give up being in control if I force her into a situation where she has no choice but to be passive and accept it. I struggle with doing it to her and try to keep a pace of change slow enough that she can cope with it.”
An hour later, Betty needed a toilet break, so the two guys took her for a walk, leaving Sophie alone with Snow. Sophie beckoned Snow to join her on the sofa.
“The no dogs on the furniture rule doesn’t apply to you. Your fur is so gorgeous. Can we snuggle up for a while?”
“Aarf.”
Sophie marveled as she ran her fingers down over Snow’s fur. It was so rich and soft. She examined the stiff leather paws and, of course, noticed the strategic zipper for her girl parts. She loved it; like everything Akira did, it was perfect.
When the boys came back, Mike said, “We don’t have enough beer here for four of us. So I’m driving down to the bar for a few more six-packs. I won’t be long.”
Giles interjected, “Why don’t the three of us go down together and have a beer while we’re there?”
Sophie looked at Snow to know she was OK with this plan. Leaving her behind seemed unfair. Snow nodded and gave her a soft “Aarf.” So, Mike went to grab his keys.
Giles turned to Snow and said, “This time Snow, I’m putting you in the dog crate while we are out.” He got a growl in return. Giles sighed, “This is about giving up control. You agreed with Sophie immediately about the three of us going out for a while. That means it is still in the comfort zone you now have. I’m sorry, Snow, but you know I need to push you beyond your comfort zone, which means the crate. If I leave you out, you won’t be passive and won’t work on accepting it. I’m only doing this because you told me you need it.”
Snow whined at him, the struggle clearly showing on her face despite the mask. She padded obediently to the crate and waited. Giles shut her in and said, “In an emergency, I know you can get your paws free to open the catch, and the cellphone is in the bathroom. OK?” He got the saddest “Aarf” he’d ever heard in response. He grinned, “just be grateful I don’t have a padlock,” and winked at her.
Giles turned round to see his sister glaring at him, “If Mike treated me like that, I’d rapidly divorce his sorry ass.”
“Leave it alone, Soph; this is what she asked me to do. I need to go before I change my mind.” As soon as Snow heard the front door lock, she realized she needed to pee and hadn’t kaçak bahis siteleri gone when she had the chance. She tried barking to bring them back, but they couldn’t hear.
The shack was in such a remote location that there was still no sign of them an hour later. Snow realized she wouldn’t be able to hold her pee much longer. She crossed her legs as tightly as the crate would allow, but all that coffee and wine was catching up with her. Damn, why hadn’t she gone before they left? Twenty minutes later, she was in agony and worrying about leaking on her fur. The shame would be unbearable. She was on the verge of removing her paws to let herself out when she heard the key in the lock. She started whining as loudly as she could, as Betty would do.
“Soph, hold off the bathroom; I hadn’t thought about Snow needing to pee before leaving for so long.”
He unbolted the crate; Snow got up on two feet and ran to the bathroom as fast as she could. Giles sighed; he was probably in deep trouble with his wife. Sophie was looking daggers at him. Despite laughing earlier, she was finding this role-play very hard to stomach. The three of them had not had a fun time at the bar because of Sophie’s mood.
As soon as Giles had let Snow out of the bathroom, Sophie said, “I’m taking Snow for a walk. We need some girl time.” Giles fetched Snow’s leash and proffered it. That earned him another glare.
“Soph, don’t fight me. Snow needs it.”
Sophie felt awkward, but Snow wasn’t objecting; she set off with Snow padding slowly at her side. She did her best to pick a path with fewer rocks to upset her paws. Finally, after walking far enough that the boys couldn’t see or hear them, she sat down on a rock and beckoned Snow to sit with her.
“Snow, you can see I’m extremely unhappy with what Giles is doing to you. He is naturally dominant and can be a bit of a bully. He occasionally gets carried away with crazy ideas. I need to know you’re OK with all of this.”
“Aarf.”
“No, Akira, I need to hear you explicitly say it in words. I know the OCD side of you wants the role play to be perfect, but I need this from you. I need to hear you say you are OK.”
Snow gave her a long deep sigh. “That’s only fair; I gave Giles one day of Snow talking so we could agree on what was needed. You deserve the same courtesy.”
“This was all my idea. Giles is struggling more than I am. Well, to be honest, he’s really enjoying bossing me around and being dominant; it makes him really horny. I know my counselor is right; I must learn to not be in control, or I’ll drive myself crazy and burn out. Yes, I hate things like being stuck in a crate while my friends have fun, but we can’t see any other way for me to learn. He must force me to be passive. Almost anything else we could think would result in me still being in control of what was done to me. So, Giles has to be the one doing it. I couldn’t and wouldn’t trust anyone else with this anyway. Sophie trust us, please?”
Sophie looked at her sister-in-law with newfound respect. She knew she would never be able to trust any man to have that much power over her, however briefly.
“OK, Snow, let me cuddle you for a while, then we’ll head back.”
“Sophie, there’s something I’m conflicted over. Can we talk a while longer?”
Sophie nodded.
“This is girl talk. Giles wants to have sex with Snow, you know, doggy style. I’ve said no to him, partly because I wanted to keep Snow and Akira separate, so I only want him to make love to Akira. And partly because I wanted to try and be as much like a puppy as possible. I know that’s my OCD talking. But I also don’t want to frustrate him. Am I crazy?”
Sophie giggled, “Seriously? I always knew my brother was a horny little pervert.”
She laughed, “Akira, you are way too uptight about this. You can’t really keep Snow and Akira separate. If you have sex as Snow, he is still having sex with Akira. I think she shouldn’t let this get so serious.”
Sophie continued, “At the birthday party, I noticed Giles seemed more relaxed and happier. I think Snow has done wonders for your relationship and marriage. You should relax and have more fun as Snow, not just focus on learning to not be in control. Part of letting go is relaxing in having fun. If you only focus on your personal goals, you’re still controlling it, aren’t you?”
They hugged, then Snow hit Sophie in the arm. Sophie looked puzzled.
“Don’t think I don’t know; you are just trying to help your brother get laid even more often.”
They giggled before leashing Snow to walk back.
***
Sophie poured a bottle of Sam Adams into Snow’s Pyrex bowl, then sat hand-feeding Snow guacamole, salsa, and chips so her fur wouldn’t get messy. Puppy play was a whole new side of her sister-in-law she’d never seen before. Sophie was giggling as she was hand-feeding her ‘helpless’ sister-in-law.
Sophie wanted to know this version of Akira much better.
“Snow, I’ve loved meeting you. I’m really hoping I can spend more time with you before the move?”
She and Akira hadn’t been close before because of her sister-in-law’s OCD, so she wasn’t quite sure what reaction she would get.
Snow nosed her, “Aarf.”
“OK, Snow, when?”
